Alpharetta, GA (March 17, 2016) – Astrobrights® Papers has launched Brightest Teacher, a nationwide program to recognize a teacher who has gone above and beyond to project brightness into the lives of others.
Through May 1, parents, students and peers can submit their recommendation for a deserving teacher on ColorizeYourClassroom.com. The winner will receive a colorful classroom makeover sponsored by Astrobrights and designed in collaboration with the Bright Minds, Astrobrights’ brand ambassadors and team of education-focused bloggers. The classroom makeover will be customized to fit the specific needs of the Brightest Teacher and their students to help Colorize™ learning throughout the year.
A 2010 survey showed that 88 percent of Americans wish they had told their best teachers how much they appreciated their efforts, while 94 percent of Americans agree that more should be done to recognize their work. On average, a teacher impacts 3,000 children over the course of their career.
“We all have that one teacher who made a lasting impact on our lives,” said Jeremy Frank, consumer brand senior manager for Neenah Paper. “The Brightest Teacher gives parents, students and co-workers the opportunity to show their appreciation and recognize the best in teaching.”
The Brightest Teacher is the newest component of Astrobrights’ popular Colorize Your Classroom campaign. The program provides inspiration and ideas for teachers on how to use color in the classroom to enhance learning.
The winner of the Brightest Teacher will be selected in May during Teacher Appreciation Week and their redesigned classroom will be revealed in August during back-to-school season.
To nominate a deserving teacher who has brightened someone’s life, go to ColorizeYourClassroom.com and tell us in 250 words or less why your teacher should be Astrobrights’ Brightest Teacher. Nominations are open through May 1. More details on contest rules can be found at http://bit.ly/1R23jRj.
