ALPHARETTA, GA. - Astrobrights® Papers has launched the second annual Colorize Your Classroom Challenge. Through October 11, the program will source ideas for teachers, by teachers, on how to leverage color in the classroom as they prepare to welcome students back to school.

Studies show that color can increase memory by up to 50 percent and help students remain engaged. Colorize Your Classroom provides teachers with a go-to source for inspiration on how to create an impactful learning environment that engages students throughout the year.

Astrobrights® has issued four challenges that tackle problems teachers face when setting up the right space for students; organization, classroom décor, memorization and differentiated instruction. Teachers can enter by uploading images of their original solution to each challenge on ColorizeYourClassroom.com and chose to enter up to four times, once for each challenge. Each image uploaded will count as one entry to win a yearlong sponsorship from Astrobrights®.

“Research has shown that using color can have a significant impact on learning and is a quick and easy tool for teachers, “ said Jeremy Frank, Neenah Paper Senior Consumer Brand Manager. “Teachers are searching for ways to set their students up for success. We’re providing a place for them to showcase best practices and share what works for their classrooms.”

Each week, Astrobrights® will spotlight an entry that showcases a colorful solution to one of the challenges in a new and relevant manner. At the conclusion of the contest, the Astro Bright Minds, Astrobrights’ team of edublogger ambassadors, will select a Grand Prize Winner to receive a yearlong sponsorship from Astrobrights® worth $5,000. The winner will have the opportunity to learn from color experts throughout the school year and have access to the resources they need to help their students succeed.

In its first year, Colorize™ Your Classroom generated nearly 1,000 entries and 500 photos from all 50 states, providing a portal for teachers to source original ideas on how to incorporate color into the classroom.
